A court-booking app that gave the front desk its day back
A padel club platform with four role-gated portals — guests book and pay themselves, while staff run courts, pricing, vouchers and refunds from their own dashboards.

The challenge
Court bookings ran through staff — by phone, in person, and across messages. Double-bookings were a standing risk, and the front desk spent its day on scheduling admin instead of running the venue. Different people also needed different powers: a gatekeeper checking players in should not be able to change pricing.
What we did
- 01
Built the guest portal shown here: a dashboard with spend and loyalty stats, a booking screen with live slots and peak/off-peak pricing, a voucher wallet, booking history and account settings.
- 02
Made booking a single screen — pick a date and duration, see the open slots with their real prices, and get a receipt preview with the cancellation policy before paying through PayFast.
- 03
Added loyalty points that accrue per booking and convert into free sessions, plus vouchers that can be applied at checkout, so the savings are visible in the guest's own dashboard.
- 04
Built three staff portals behind role-gated routes, each scoped to what that role should actually touch — see the portal breakdown below.
The portals
Four role-gated portals, each scoped to what that role should actually be able to touch.
Guest portal
Players booking a court
Dashboard with total bookings, spend, savings and loyalty progress. Book a court against live slot availability with peak and off-peak pricing, apply a voucher or redeem a free session, then pay through PayFast. Plus booking history, a voucher wallet, active promotions and account settings.
Member portal
Subscription holders
Everything a guest gets, plus the subscription layer: purchased hour packages, how many peak, off-peak and anytime hours remain, and expiry dates — so members book against their balance instead of paying per session.
Manager portal
Day-to-day venue managers
Bookings, courts, pricing rules, staff and vouchers, with reports on top. Scoped deliberately: managers run the venue but cannot touch refunds, promotions or platform-level settings.
Admin portal
Owners and administrators
The full control room — bookings, courts, members, staff, pricing, vouchers, promotions, refunds, reports and settings. Everything the manager sees, plus the money and policy decisions that only an owner should make.
The outcome
Members book in seconds on their own phones. Bookings, vouchers, loyalty and payments run through one system, staff each get a portal scoped to their role, and the front desk is no longer the bottleneck.
“They shipped our entire court-booking app end to end — bookings, vouchers, loyalty points, payments. Members book in seconds and our front desk finally breathes.”
